The South African National Geography Olympiad (SANGO) – 2021

The 2021 South African National Geography Olympiad (SANGO) Round One (MCQs) took place on 18th of May 2021 and Round Two (written task) was held on the 23rd of June 2021. SANGO is thrilled to announce that our Top School for 2021 is:

Redhill School, Sandton, Gauteng.

Redhill will be the official South African National Team to compete at the iGeo (the International Geography Olympiad) hosted by the International Geographical Union (IGU), from the 10th to 16th August 2021. This year it is hosted by Turkey, but due to COVID-19 lockdown restrictions it will be held online. The four learners in the team are:

  • Abigail Davies (Grade 11)
  • Armand vd Colf (Grade 12)
  • Azhar Cassim (Grade 12)
  • Sven Surjoodeen (Grade 11)
