South African schools team attends the International Geography Olympiad in Poland 2004
A team of South African school learners were given an opportunity of a lifetime to attend the 5th International Geography Olympiad under the auspices of the International Geographical Union (IGU). They were accompanied by two teachers, Grant Paarman and Sinegugu Zukulu. The team members were: Moitshepi Mathulwe (Pretoria), Yusuf Parak (Rondebosch Boys’ High School), Redani Maude (Mbilwi Secondary School) and Casey Morgan (Kearsney College). They did well enough amongst their European counterparts, with Yusuf Parak narrowly missing a bronze medal.
